This position is accountable for managing specific sales objectives with agreed profit margins in Sales and Marketing activities in the Norway market. The position is responsible for Sales Inbound for TechnipFMC Surface Drilling & Completion products within the area of Exploration & Production.
This position is responsible for providing support to client’s new well drilling, work-over drilling, brownfield requirements and aftermarket requirements. This manager will also be aware of opportunities in the area of Production Facilities and Pressure Control and will pass these to the relevant Sales group.
The purpose of this function is to ensure that TechnipFMC is well positioned with our clients in the Norwegian market and that we are meeting our contract responsibilities. This position, aligned with field operations, is focused toward ensuring that profitable growth is achieved.

Main Tasks

• Provide product and technical assistance, fit for purpose as well as innovative technical and commercial solutions, which provide winning combinations for the Norwegian market and our clients.
• Continuously updating and managing the S (Manufacturing/CSG/Field Operations/Engineering).
• Produce and submit reports as necessary to the NE CIS Geomarket management to maintain visibility on accounts.
• Capable of interfacing with the Aftermarket organization in Norway and Project and Internal Sales organization in Scotland to the benefit of TechnipFMC and its customers.
• Must be willing to challenge the organization and be challenged by the organisationand OP Forecasting Database for accountability and ownership
• Ensuring a professional image of TechnipFMC is always presented to our customers and suppliers in line with TechnipFMC business practices; ethics; quality and HSE standards
• Work closely with Accounts Receivable Manager ensuring that deliverables and the management of the DSO are obtained and that all invoices tracked and closed out in a timely basis.
• Co ordinate, manage and supervise any client visits to TechnipFMC manufacturing plants.
• Preparation and implementation of estimated sales budget forecast for the Norwegian market.
• Develop, establish and execute market strategies. These strategies must deal with the retention and penetration of key products, clients and accounts in line with budget definitions with a view to further growth.
• Create and maintain customer STAT plans for all key customers
• Identifying and exploiting all growth opportunities within accounts.
• Monitor and report all changes in the Norway market.
• Have full working knowledge and understanding of the clients purchasing regulations and processes.
• Monitor and define the competition and understand their strategies.
• Represent TechnipFMC providing commercial and technical advice.
• Create strategies and look for opportuntities to sell TechnipFMC’s repair / remanufacture capability which is being constantly developed in Norway. Ensure this does not conflict with the strategy for hardware sales.
• Liaise with other TechnipFMC business units towards defining and exploiting packaging opportunities.
• Timely management, review and submission of all tender documents, attend pre-bid, clarification and post bid meetings.
• Making sense of and articulate complicated market situations.
• Ensure sales and marketing is aligned with other internal departments towards a shared purpose/goal


• Degree in business management and or mechanical engineering preferred
• 8-10 years experience in Technical Sales in the Oil & Gas sector
• Technical/product/application understanding
• Knowledge of drilling/completion/production/pressure control operations
• Strong customer interface skills
• Deal with complex customer commercial situations
• Good leadership skills and the ability to develop relationships with internal teams as a customer develops in this market
• Proven record of being self directed and motivated to get the job done
• Budget preparation and management
• Strong communications skills
• Located or willing to relocate in Stavanger
• Must be willing to undertake frequent travel throughout Norway and occasionally other parts of Europe and very occasionally Asia
• Regular meetings at client locations
• Regular interface with other departments
• Managing regular customer visits to manufacturing sites
