Responsibilities

Primary responsibility of this position is to configure SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) to provide support and implemenation of SAP SRM. This position is in the Western Region Information Technology group, with a matrix into the Global IT team for technical guidelines. This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, and support of solutions for client activities in various business functions. This individual will work with Business Management and Executive Team Members to design and implement business process changes by integrating new systems and business processes with existing ones.

Main Tasks

• Partner with business counterparts in the Customer Service area to enable industry best practices and SAP best practices
• Be a mentor for KPIs and metrics within assigned subject area
• Work SIPOC charts, process flow documents, solution architecture documents, as needed
• Work with users to create new business cases and complete deployment activities for all changes affecting assigned user base
• Manage incident tickets per service level agreements, working root cause analysis, corrective actions
• Set up the split valuation based on various valuation categories such as country of origin & grade and source of materials like purchase and manufactured
• Designing, building, testing, deploying and supporting SAP and non-SAP systems and solutions according to specifications and schedules while meeting quality requirements
• Writing functional/technical specification documents for programs, interfaces, user-exits as well as BAPIs and VOFMs
• Perform problem root cause analysis to implement solutions that prevent problem reoccurrence
• Coordinate business users with SAP support activities carried out for events including scheduled maintenance downtime, system upgrades, software installations, job scheduling
• Chairs weekly sessions with Super Users/Local Process Owners reviewing status of all SAP IT activities for their primary module areas (SRM/MM). (Projects, Enhancements, Incident tracking) as well as major milestones and expected deliverables (ie, template release testing, minor release activities,…)
• Monitoring service desk for user-reported problems
• Perform problem root cause analysis to implement solutions that prevent problem reoccurrence
• Manage system enhancement projects to support the new business requirements
• Develop documentation to facilitate on-going support
• Review systems and processes to reduce the total cost of ownership
• Create and deliver training materials as needed to foster a more effective use of SAP systems by the user community
• Prepare reporting to communicate the status of issue resolution to Information Technology and Business management and to identify trends for opportunities to improve the stability of the system.

Requirements

 Must have 5 years functional and configuration experience in SAP SRM/MM
 2 full life cycle implementation of SAP SRM
 5 years of industry experience is plus
 Ability to handle a pipeline of numerous tickets, in terms of prioritization, categorization between break–fix and enhancements, etc
 Skilled in problem/incident management, SLAs – Service Level Agreements and full lifecycle system support
 Must be a self-starter, results-oriented and have a track record of timely, high-quality deliverables
 Excellent verbal/written communications skills; strong presentation and negotiation/conflict resolution skills
 Excellent knowledge of purchasing master data such as material/vendor masters, info records, source lists, purchase orders, service contracts and scheduling agreements
 Strong background in direct and indirect material receiving and an understanding of invoice processing, payment terms, accounts payable, check printing / EFT and Dunning
 Experience deploying SRM via SAP Enterprise Portal
 SAP SRM 7.0 experience
 Experience integrating MM/SRM with FI/CO and PS
 Experience with MM Master Data (material master, vendor master, Source list, info record, material master, vendor master, source list, info record) definition and setup
 Experience in setting up the entire purchasing cycle with purchase requisition, purchase order with contracts & scheduling agreements for transactions processing as per the business requirement
 Strong experience in material sourcing, contract management, pricing, requisitioning, approval strategies, purchase orders, supplier releases and EDI
 Experience with a manufacturing environment – make to order, make to stock and engineer to order is a major plus
 Strong change management, business process mapping and re-engineering experience required
 Familiarity with BASIS and technical tools desirable. Examples: ABAP, SAP Query, user exit customization, debugging skills and communication protocols
 Have demonstrated experienced as a key contributor to multiple end-to-end SAP implementation projects
 Demonstrated problem-solving skills to analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP system-supported solutions
 Exposure/experience with BW usage is a plus
 Experience in IT discipline, IT methodologies
 Proven coordination and interpersonal skills
 Knowledge of SAP webservices, and its interaction with Sharepoint a plus
 Experience using project methodologies, PIMBOK a plus
 SAP certification desired but not required
 Industry and technical certifications such as APICs desired
 Knowledge/experience using Solution Manager or BPM a plus
 Should be knowledgeable of all changes performed by other IT areas that affect their super users' network to give guidance to change management, training, regression test needs, updates to processes,…
