FMC Technologies operates 12 different business units, all of which are found within the United States and Canada. Each business unit provides our customers with unique and innovative products and services for different aspects of the oil and gas industry.
Calgary, Alberta is the Canadian headquarters for our Completion Services business unit. Having joined the FMC Technologies family in 2012, Completion Services provides frac flowback services, cased holed electric wireline and slickline services, specialty logging services, pressure transient analysis, and well optimization and swabbing services. Completion Services operates through 17 field locations in Canada, as well as 5 field locations in the U.S. (U.S. headquarters in Denver, Colorado). Completion Services’ expertise is in servicing resource plays being developed using enhanced drilling and completion technologies for both oil and natural gas such as hydraulic fracturing and horizontal drilling techniques.
California is headquarters for our Schilling Robotics business unit. Acquired in 2012, Schilling Robotics brings nearly 30 years of technological expertise and innovation to the development and manufacturing of work-class ROVs and manipulator arms for the subsea environment. These products are designed to withstand the harshest conditions in the most remote locations on Earth. Schilling Robotics has two locations in California - Davis, and Shingle Springs.
California is also home to Direct Drive Systems (DDS). DDS is a global leader in the production of high-speed, high-power synchronous motors and generators utilizing permanent magnet technology. Our drive systems provide efficient and cost-effective compression, pumping, and generation solutions for pipeline, offshore platform, and subsea applications in the oil and gas process industries.
Formerly our corporate headquarters, Chicago is now home to our Blending and Transfer business unit. Blending and Transfer provides solutions for process industries such as lubricants, greases, fuels, additives, and chemicals through feasibility studies, design, engineering, procurement, project management, training, commissioning and aftermarket services. We supply high quality equipment such as Automatic Batch Blenders, In Line Blenders, Simultaneous Metered Blenders, Pigging Systems and Drum Decanting Units that are ready to be installed. The objective is to help our customers maximize their profitability by providing accurate blending, efficient process and automation solutions.
In Lenexa, Kansas, our Automation and Control business unit is committed to delivering cutting-edge automation, control, and information technology throughout the energy supply chain. Automation and Control designs, engineers, installs and supports a variety of unity control, terminal automation, and terminal host systems around the world.
Tupelo, Mississippi is home to our Material Handling business unit. Versatility, reliability, state-of-the-art technology and superior execution have made FMC Technologies’ material handling products the first choice in a variety of industries. Our Link-Belt and Syntron technologies include conveying, feeding, drying and cooling, elevating, vibrating and material flow aids, and screening.
Erie, Pennsylvania is the headquarters for our Measurement Solutions business unit. Measurement Solutions sets the standard for global Best Measurement Practices by designing, manufacturing and servicing the precision products and systems used to measure and control liquids and gases in industrial applications. Our facilities in Erie include a state-of-the-art test lab as well as a Design Center, which is maintained in partnership with Penn State University.
Houston is home to our corporate headquarters as well as subsea manufaturing facilities, our global technology group, and FMC Technologies University. All of our business units are represented in Houston, in which has nearly 3000 employees throughout seven different facilities.
Stephenville, Texasis headquarters for our Fluid Control business unit. Fluid Control products and services include flowline, well service pumps, articulating frac arm manifolds trailers, Chiksan® and Weco® products, integrated services, pumps, compact valves, and Invalco measuring instruments. Our Stephenville facilities were recently expanded to accommodate growing customer needs.
